Day energy

7 is awakening and this is tied into the concept of Wuqub’ Kaqix. The 7 parts of ourselves that don’t serve us which are: pride, envy, crime, lies, ingratitude, inappropriate ambition and ignorance. By letting go of these parts of ourselves we live a more rewarding and fulfilling life.

Ajpu is the second of the hero twins that defeated the Mayan underworld (Xib’alb’a). It is and energy of strength, power and tenacity. On an Ajpu day we pray for strength, companionship, and fellowship. We ask for the energy to be free. We pray a lot of courage, strength, bravery and valor. We ask Ajpu to give us some of his strength. We pray for that incredible braveness to dominate any problem we may have in our lives. If you’re feeling weak or low, you can ask on this day, for the strength of Ajpu and for any problems to be removed.

Ajpu literally mean light, and so we pray to see and embrace the light that is within us. Ajpu’s Nahual (represented by) is the warrior so we pray to have that warrior energy in our lives today. He is the expert of hunting with the blowgun, and so we pray to be very precise with the things we want and to remember the importance of taking time to be still and focus.

HOW TO CONNECT

Light a candle and burn incense. A simple cleansing practice is using sage, palo santo, copal, or your favorite incense — let the smoke flow under your arms, sides of your body, between your legs, and above your head. If you don’t like smoke, a feather wand works. Salt in the shower is also a great way to cleanse your energy. Pour some salt in your hands and rub it on your neck, throat, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. You can also scrub your face with salt, but be careful not to get it in your eyes.

Then speak this prayer for the day:

Prayer for 13 Aq’ab’al

Ready to speak — the day’s number and nahual are already woven in.

I make these as my offerings to the Creator, Mother Earth, Father Sun, Grandmother Moon, Sister Stars, to all the energies of our existence, and to all the elements that enable our existence: fire, earth, wind, and water.

I ask for deep healing and to sync up with the healing energy of this day.
I ask to release anything that needs to be released.
I ask for energy and strength from Tijax to free me from all that’s negative.
I ask that the double-bladed obsidian knife helps to cut out all that’s negative.
I ask to heal myself with self-love, self-compassion, and empathy.
I ask to use the medicine of the swordfish for a sharp focus on my healing.
I ask to use the medicine of the toucan for seeing beyond masks and to use my insight to have a higher awareness.

I close this invocation and I thank you, Aq’ab’al, for your help.

When This Energy is yours

Anyone can meet and pray with the energy of 13 Aq’ab’al. When that same combination belongs to the day you were born, it becomes a lifelong pattern — gifts, challenges, relationships, and the Mayan Cross below.

If this is your birth date, this is your personal reading.

born under 13 aq'ab'al

Tijax people have the most incredible gift of being able to heal people. This is such an incredible gift and you have this ability whether you know it or not. Tijax is commonly referred to as “The Mayan Doctor” so you would make a great surgeon. Or it could be that you heal people through a form of healing where you use your hands like massage or physical therapy. Of course, you could also be a spiritual healer as well. You have magic hands that can work like the double-bladed obsidian knife and cut away negative energy from people.

You are one of the energies that’s also very sensitive to your environment. You MUST surround yourself with kind, positive and uplifting people. It will be very hard for you to heal if you’re in a bad environment. Fun fact about obsidian, if it isn’t cleansed regularly it can start to have the opposite effect and instead of protection it can do harm! This means you need to surround yourself with people that are good for you, otherwise you’ll not have good results. So, make sure your environment is “clean”.

ABOUT THE CHOLQ’IJ

Understanding the mayan cholq'ij calendar

The Sacred Mayan Cholq’ij is a 260-day calendar that interconnects the cycles of the cosmos and the earth. It’s a blend of the scientific, mathematic, and spiritual. It’s the profound understanding of cycles and laws of the universe. This can be life altering in the best possible way when implemented in a person’s life. It is a complete map to living a good and useful life.

There are 13 manifestations of each of the 20 main archetypal energies. So, 13×20 = 260. Each of these archetypal energies have specific attributes and representations called Nahuales. A Nahual can be an element, animal or thing that represents a certain archetypal energy. As you’ll see most of the archetypes have a combination of different Nahuales.

Each day there is an energy in the universe that we are literally being carried by. Think of yourself as a surfer and each day there’s a different kind of wave of energy to ride. The way we ride the wave is by tuning into this resonance and becoming in sync with the energy of the day. For example, there are some days where we give gratitude and pray for abundance, others where we pray for our ancestors and ask for their healing, and others where we don’t ask for anything but rather just honor the importance of giving.

A skeptic would say, “well you could do these things on any day and it would be good”, and yes that’s true. However, once you start to see the deep wisdom in this system and shifts start happening in your life, only then will you be convinced of the undeniable sheer power of the wisdom of the Maya. This is a system that has been practiced for thousands of years and continues to be today because of one simple principle. It works.

When you can live a life in sync with these energies there’s a personal freedom and fresh experience of life that becomes unlocked. This page is designed to help you keep basic spiritual hygiene and offering practices, know what to ask for on each day, pray with the energy, and learn a little about your own Mayan Cross.
